Project Control Specialist II Hybrid in Service Territory:

What you'll be working on... Leads performance tracking at the portfolio level, multiple projects, providing executive-level insights and recommendations to improve project outcomes.
Oversees the development, integration, and maintenance of advanced cost analysis, financial forecasting, and scheduling tools for large-scale capital programs.
Provides high-level strategic forecasts based on evolving construction work plans and schedule performance, influencing key business decisions.
Ensures organizational compliance with Chesapeake's project controls standards, capital management policies, and industry best practices.
Develops, refines, and enforces enterprise-wide project controls procedures and governance frameworks.
Represents project controls in management level discussions, preparing formal reports, risk assessments, and KPIs that shape corporate planning.
Champions the adoption of innovative tools and methodologies to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and transparency across all projects.
Serves as the subject matter expert (SME) for earned value management, cost engineering, and schedule integration.
Guides and mentors the project controls team, setting priorities and ensuring alignment with project execution strategies.
Oversees project setup in ERP and ensures system data integrity at a program-wide level.
Defines and validates Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) for high-complexity projects and portfolios.
Provides final approval on invoice verifications and major contract payments.
Coaches and develops junior employees to prepare them for higher-level project controls roles. Who you are... Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Project Management, Engineering or Accounting
Minimum of 5 year in a project management or controls related experience
Standard Drivers' License
Working knowledge of ERP systems
Solid understanding of project lifecycle, methodologies and phases
Understanding of techniques for estimating, tracking and controlling project costs
Proficient in Microsoft Suite, including strong working skills in Excel and MS Project, financial acumen working with budgets
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to interpret data and forecast trends
Flexibility in managing multiple projects and adapting to changing priorities
Ability to analyze financial data and report on findings
Ability to work as part of a team or as an individual contributor in diverse settings
