Project Engineer /
Project Coordinator Salary:
$60,000 - $70,000Industry:
Light Commercial Construction (Clubhouses, retail, restaurants, theme parks) Overview We are seeking a Project Engineer to support the Project Management team in coordinating, organizing, and maintaining project documentation across all phases of construction. This role plays a key part in document control, subcontractor coordination, permitting, and project tracking—helping ensure projects stay organized, compliant, and on schedule. Key Responsibilities Manage and process contract documents, shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals. Maintain organized project files (digital + hard copy) Verify subcontractor submittals meet project specifications. Assist with estimating and subcontractor outreach. Support purchase orders, subcontracts, and tracking Monitor long-lead items to keep projects on schedule. Coordinate permits and maintain permit logs Track project issues through resolution to avoid delays Assist with change orders, pricing, and scope development. Support punch list tracking and project close-out documentation. Maintain communication with subcontractors, vendors, and local authorities. Use project management tools (e.g., Procore) for reporting and documentation What We're Looking For 1-3 years of construction experience or a degree in Construction Management/Engineering Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications Knowledge of core trades (concrete, masonry, carpentry, demolition) Ability to manage multiple priorities and stay highly organized Comfortable using technology and project management softwareBonus:
