Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
A Project Manager's primary duty at JSC Systems is to provide administrative and operational support while delivering excellent customer service. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with customers, technicians, and internal teams on a daily basis. The ideal candidate must be flexible and willing to assist with operations and support needs across multiple service areas, including the Davenport/Lakeland, Orlando, and Tampa regions, as business demands require.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
(This is not intended as an all-inclusive list. Duties and responsibilities can be added or deleted as deemed necessary by superiors.) 1. Manage all aspects of assigned projects including tracking, status reports, change orders and work schedules. 2. Coordinate on-site relationships with sub-contractors to ensure accurate scheduling and profitability. 3. Provide weekly / monthly reports on the status of projects to Managers, as required. 4. Communicate effectively with Technicians regarding labor scheduling, material needs, project requirements and Gathering feedback from the field. 5. Interact with other JSC personnel to communicate potential issues and find quick and effective resolutions. 6. Schedule pre-construction, project kick off and regular weekly construction meetings and attend customer meetings. 7. Ensure that all required Personal Protective Equipment is available and technicians understand the requirements for and use of all safety equipment and procedures. 8. Submit all required paperwork on time as required including payment applications/schedules of values, completed work orders, and contract documentation to ensure timely billing and payments. 9. Schedule materials, equipment, and tools to ensure work can be performed as scheduled and required. 10. Manage the change order process including estimating, documenting, and submitting change orders for out-of-scope work and additional customer requests per company policy and contract documents. 11. Provide support to Service, Sales and Estimation departments as needed to provide outstanding customer service.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES / EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS
1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. 2. Intermediate to advanced experience using Microsoft Office (Office 365, Excel, Word, Outlook) 3. Time management and organizational skills required. 4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills effective with both end users and construction personnel 5. Desire to work in a fast-paced, time sensitive, and occasionally high-pressure environment 6. Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment, collaborating with colleagues in other departments 7. Minimum NICET Level
II, NICET
Level III is strongly preferred in Fire Alarm Systems. 8. 3+ years of proven experience managing low-voltage construction projects, preferably in fire alarm, telecom, security, and access control environments. 9.
Strong technical knowledge of:
  • Fire Alarm Systems (Edwards/EST preferred)
  • Access Control & Security Systems
  • Structured Cabling / Telecom
  • Mass Notification & Life Safety Systems 10.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, from kickoff through closeout. 11. Strong understanding of construction documents, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and scheduling. 12. Experience with material tracking, job costing, and project financials. 13. Ability to lead and coordinate field technicians, subcontractors, and customer representatives. 14. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to interact professionally with clients, GCs, and internal teams. 15. Proficiency with project management software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Fieldwire, Procore, Excel). 16. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify roadblocks and drive resolutions. 17. Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to job sites as required.
Pay:
$65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
