Job Description:

A well-established heavy civil contractor with a strong presence across Florida is seeking an experienced Project Manager with bridge construction expertise to lead FDOT transportation projects throughout the Port St. Lucie and Treasure Coast region . This role offers the opportunity to manage technically complex bridge and roadway work within a stable pipeline of public infrastructure projects. This position is ideal for a Project Manager who thrives in the field, understands the technical demands of bridge structures and FDOT standards , and values strong collaboration with operations teams. Key Responsibilities Lead FDOT bridge and transportation projects from award through final close-out Manage scopes including bridge construction/rehabilitation , structural concrete, roadway approaches, drainage, and MOT Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, cost tracking, and reporting Coordinate with superintendents, engineers, inspectors, subcontractors, and FDOT representatives Oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders , and ensure strict compliance with FDOT specs Ensure QA/QC standards, safety, and environmental compliance are upheld across all project phases Drive performance and accountability across field and project teams Why This Opportunity Stands Out Strong pipeline of FDOT bridge and roadway projects across the Treasure Coast and South Florida Contractor known for delivering complex structural and transportation work , not commodity projects Established internal team with deep experience in FDOT bridge construction and design-build delivery Clear career growth into Senior PM or leadership roles within major infrastructure programs Collaborative culture focused on integrity, execution, and long-term employee success Qualifications 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager on FDOT transportation projects Direct bridge construction experience required (new construction, rehabilitation, or structural work) Strong knowledge of FDOT specifications, structures manual, MOT, and QA/QC requirements Proven experience managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and documentation Background in structural concrete, foundations, pile driving, or bridge components preferred Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with field teams and agency partners Candidates without FDOT and bridge experience will not be considered.
