PROJECT MANAGER
Acosta Tractors, Inc. (ATI) is a family owned and operated engineering contracting firm with 50 years of experience in underground utility installation and civil construction for both public and private projects. At ATI, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager (PM) to oversee our projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. As a PM at ATI, you will lead a variety of civil and underground utility projects. The PM is responsible for implementing ATI's Project Management policies and procedures. You will also be responsible for all aspects of the project including: development of the project's budget, schedule, review & analyze reports, resource allocation (labor, equipment, & material), and update & maintain project documentation regularly for use by the project team. Responsibilities and Duties Include Review project bid to understand the project and perform initial setup and tracking methodologies to efficiently communicate with the field and track job progress for both schedule and cost Thoroughly review and become familiar with project contract documents and specifications and necessary requirements for compliance Perform project buy-out evaluation for subcontractors and suppliers for purchasing Negotiate, award, and draft subcontracts and purchase orders Apply and obtain project permits as required Prepare, review, and submit MOT's for approval Prepare and submit all project submittals for review and approval Track and timely order materials needed for the project Coordinate and schedule subcontractors to perform work on site Issue RFI's to the stakeholders and follow-ups for response and distribution to project team Collect and maintain all project red-line as-builts Distribute to team and all involved parties any project plan revisions and maintain up to date plans Issue subcontractor change orders and owner change orders Reviews and coordinate with project superintendent(s) to offer support on all project activities and identify lead times on material deliveries, critical path activities, or delays that may impact overall schedule; responsible for managing project durations Be the subject matter experts on all thing related to the project including, but not limited to; specifications, plans, construction documents, codes, etc. Maintains project daily report logs and progress Review and approve vendor/subcontractor invoices/pay applications Develop project schedules on Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project Perform and prepare project schedule updates and look-ahead schedules as required Attend project meetings and provide updates to stakeholders Prepare meeting minutes and maintain organized project records for project team Share and manage project expectations and budget with ATI Team Work closely with Bidding/Estimating to approve and submit bids Complete all project close-out procedures ie: punch list, inspections, as-builts, etc. Perform other job-related duties as assignedQualifications & Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of civil construction experience and/or degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering Must have experience in managing contracts with roadway and underground utility work Work will be overseen by Professional Engineer and position may be eligible for PE experience hours subject to FBPE confirmation and approval Must be able to read and interpret contract plans, specifications, and documents Must possess high personal standards including a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, and a high level of professionalism Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, and standards Must have excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to interpret and translate requirements to all team members including Owners, Subcontractors, and Superintendents Must be proficient with Microsoft Office. Particularly MS Excel and ability to create, alter and manage spreadsheets Proficiency in Excel, OneNote, Teams, Plangrid, Planswift, HCSS and other industry used software is a plusCompensation:
