Senior Project Manager Full-time Tampa, Florida or Valhalla, New York $140,000-$170,000 annual + bonus + benefits Introduction Brightsmith is proud to be representing a leading energy and infrastructure solutions company in the search for a Senior Project Manager to support the delivery of complex energy efficiency and distributed energy projects across the United States. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced project leader to oversee high-impact infrastructure and energy projects from development through construction and commissioning. The role offers strong visibility across engineering, operations, and client-facing activities within a growing and technically driven organization. What Makes This Role Stand Out Opportunity to lead large-scale energy and infrastructure projects with national impact Exposure to energy efficiency, distributed energy, MEP, and commissioning projects A highly visible role working closely with customers, engineering teams, and construction partners Strong long-term growth potential within an expanding project pipeline Collaborative environment with a focus on technical excellence and project delivery The Role As Senior Project Manager, you will oversee the successful execution of energy and MEP design-build projects, managing activities from project development through construction, commissioning, and client handover. You will act as a key point of coordination between customers, subcontractors, engineering teams, and construction partners while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing the delivery of energy efficiency, distributed energy, and infrastructure projects Coordinating project design, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and contractor management Leading construction planning, field execution, quality control, and project reporting Managing subcontractors, vendors, and strategic project partners Supporting value engineering, constructability reviews, and project optimization efforts Overseeing project budgets, invoicing, scheduling, and contractual obligations Maintaining strong customer relationships throughout the project lifecycle Supporting risk management and construction contract administration activities Collaborating closely with engineering, development, and operations teams About You We are looking for an experienced project management professional with a strong background in energy infrastructure and MEP construction projects.
You will bring:
A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field 10+ years of experience delivering energy and MEP design-build projects Experience managing project budgets, schedules, quality, and performance Knowledge of HVAC, central utilities, electrical systems, and commissioning activities Strong construction management and contract administration capabilities Experience integrating engineering, construction, startup, and operational activities Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Strong organizational and leadership abilities Familiarity with tools such as MS Project, Excel, Word, and ideally ProCore Ability to travel up to 30% as required Experience with HVAC, Electrical, or EMCS design is considered an advantage.
