This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin a long-term career in construction management, project coordination, or operations.

No prior construction experience is required — we are willing to train the right candidate who is eager to learn, highly organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

In this role, you will assist our Project Managers and field teams with scheduling, communication, documentation, and day-to-day project coordination for custom homes, additions, remodels, and high-end renovations throughout Central Florida.

This position offers hands-on experience, mentorship, and growth opportunities within a rapidly growing construction company. Responsibilities Assist with permit preparation, submission, revision coordination, permit status tracking, and inspection scheduling Coordinate communication between team members, field crews, vendors, and clients Assist with fixture selections, vendor pricing, purchase orders, lead times, and delivery scheduling Respond to client, vendor, architect/engineer, and subcontractor inquiries and direct requests as needed Support Project Managers with administrative and coordination tasks Track budgets, allowances, invoices, and prepare and send change orders Upload project documentation to the appropriate folders in Buildertrend upon receipt Follow internal workflows, templates, and checklists Training Provided Cooney Homes will provide training in: Residential construction processes and terminology Project coordination Permit and inspection procedures Buildertrend and company software Vendor and Subcontractor coordination Customer communication and project workflow management Qualifications Strong organizational and communication skills Positive attitude and willingness to learn Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace Ability to multitask and stay detail-oriented Reliable transportation and punctuality required Customer service or administrative experience is a plus, but not required Construction experience is helpful but not required Growth Opportunity This position is designed as a growth role within Cooney Homes.
