Job Description

A well-established project controls consultancy providing scheduling, cost, and risk management services to leading contractors, owners, and operators across the construction industry. About the Role The company is seeking a Senior Project Controls Engineer to provide scheduling and project controls support for major construction projects. This role works closely with client project managers, construction teams, and wider stakeholders to develop, manage, and monitor CPM schedules and project control systems throughout the full project lifecycle. This is a key position within the project team, offering strong long-term growth opportunities on large, high-profile programs. Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and monitor construction CPM schedules Review project documents and specifications to produce accurate baseline schedules, including all required activities, milestones, and key dates Perform schedule updates with detailed reporting and narratives Review schedules and provide recommendations aligned with execution objectives Conduct critical path and schedule impact analyses, identifying risks and corrective actions Carry out site walks to validate progress and prepare monthly reporting packages Review contractor progress and present findings to senior management Develop metrics, KPIs, and benchmarks to support project and programme controls Support cost and resource management and reporting Identify and evaluate schedule-related risks and impacts Communicate project status, risks, and challenges clearly Liaise with project teams, clients, owners, and wider stakeholders Requirements 5+ years' experience in project controls and CPM scheduling within vertical construction Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, project management, or a related discipline (may be waived with equivalent industry experience) Strong proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6 Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and project documentation Solid understanding of construction means, methods, and sequencing Experience developing schedules for projects valued at $100m+ Experience with cost and resource management and reporting Working knowledge of contractual clauses related to planning and scheduling Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment across multiple projects AACEI PSP and/or PMI-SP certification preferred Full-time, on-site presence required Benefits Comprehensive healthcare, dental, and vision coverage Employer-sponsored retirement plan with matching contributions Employer-funded life and AD&D insurance Optional benefits including life, accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnity coverage Employee assistance and wellbeing programmes Paid time off plus paid holidays Regular team and company events
