JOB SUMMARY
This Project Manager position manages IT projects for DOR in accordance with PMBOK-based standards and methodologies specified by the state of Florida and DOR. This position creates and maintains project schedule and work plans; assesses, analyzes, and documents project constraints, issues, and risks; updates project information into management tools, and tracks project goals and activities. This position also provides technical assistance and consultative services to staff on a variety of complex IT projects, technical proposals, business cases and operational reports. In addition, this position makes recommendations for change that will increase project performance, communication, and consistency throughout DOR programs. The candidate must have professional experience in IT Project Management, be highly organized and self-motivating, possess excellent team building and communication skills, and be comfortable working with diverse business processes.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Two (2) years of IT project management experience.
PREFERENCES
PMP Certification (provide PMP Certificate Number). Three (3) or more years of experience managing projects. Experience managing stakeholders and project teams. Experience developing and documenting requirements for IT projects. Experience facilitating meetings / making presentations / training. Experience using project management tools (e.g. HP PPM, Microsoft Project). Experience in an information technology environment.
