Hiring salary range: $53,450.27 to $58,795.29 depending on qualifications.Job Summary:
The Manager for International Student Programs is an integral member of a 3-person team that advises Hillsborough College (HC) international (F-1 visa) students on academic and immigration matters; and develops and implements effective student retention strategies and programs. Approximately 435 international (F-1 visa) students from over 85 nations attend the College.Job Duties:
The position is student-facing and in-person. In other words, remote or virtual work is not routinely an option. The Manager's responsibilities include: Organizing substantive, ongoing, orientation programming, including delivering arrival orientations and co-teaching semester-length seminar for first-year F-1 visa students Serving as a Designated School Official (DSO) maintaining student immigration records in the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS). A DSO must be either a citizen or a lawful permanent resident of the United States (per federal regulations) Navigating multiple databases (admissions, immigration, & student information system) Tracking and monitoring statistical results on retention, graduation and the achievement of students' personal and academic goals Developing and sustaining student leadership programming with priority given to promoting engagement between domestic and international students Nurturing relationships with sister 4-year colleges/universities to encourage students' persistence and completion (including transfer) Plans, organizes, implements and coordinates a complex institutional program or grant proposal. Minimum Qualifications The position requires at least a Bachelor's degree in a field relating to the specific project of assignment and at least three years of prior-related work experience.Preferred Qualifications:

Prefer applicants with an awarded master's degree and experience as follows: Providing comprehensive academic, career and transfer planning services for international (F-1 visa) students from admission to completion of their academic program. Managing student information databases, including SEVIS, Colleague and Workday. Serving as a Designated School Official (DSO) with professional responsibilities for advising students on F-1, M-1 or J-1 visa types. Teaching in a U.S community college (or 4-year college/university setting). Producing data-informed, work plans with measurable goals and objectives. Developing educational resources, including training workshops (virtual and in-person) for students, faculty and staff. Leveraging web-based technologies, including social networking sites. Speaking, reading and writing in a foreign language. Living in another country. Hiring, training, supervising and evaluating student employees and engaging alumni.Closing Date:
