Job Description
Experteer Overview As a Program Lead at USAA, you translate strategy into action for the Distribution & Service Transformation journey, partnering with executive sponsors to build roadmaps that drive sustainable change. You'll collaborate with change and communications teams to ensure readiness, adoption, and training, while aligning efforts across multiple teams. You enable the organization to achieve strategic objectives within a distributed environment. This role offers the chance to shape transformation that directly supports members and the military community.
Compensation / Benefits
- Lead the implementation of strategic tasks aligning programs with business goals
- Develop multi-year business plans and execution approaches to deliver capabilities and value
- Coordinate with sponsors and cross-functional teams to plan scope, milestones, resources, roadmaps, budgets, dependencies, and timing
- Prepare status reports highlighting risks/issues for stakeholders
- Ensure team alignment and understanding of interdependencies to achieve program goals
- Develop performance metrics, dashboards, and tools for clear status communication
- Direct analysis and root cause identification to inform key work products
- Identify opportunities for integrated solutions meeting multiple partner needs
- Define and maintain multiple program strategies based on demand and ROI
- Negotiate agreements and tradeoffs with IT and business to align demand with capacity
- Mentor Program Managers in benefits realization and program alternatives
- Adhere to EPMO processes, governance, controls, and templates
- Drive adoption and sustainment of changes in line with USAA Change Management methodology Tasks
- Bachelor's degree or 4 years of related experience
- Minimum 8 years' project and/or program management experience
- Experience with Waterfall or Agile methodologies
- Advanced risk management knowledge
- Strong program management methodology and change management expertise
- Proficiency with USAA's change management methodology or similar
- Experience developing and reporting on large budgets
- Stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Expert level in Principles of Project, Program or Portfolio Management
- Experience using business knowledge to assess program risks and rewards across technologies and business goals Key requirements
