Role serves as the primary liaison between the organization, property owners, architects/engineers, contractors, and regulators, managing schedules, budgets, contracts and site activities to meet quality, safety, and regulatory requirements. Job Purpose Position exists to translate facilities design requirements into an executable construction plan, aligning stakeholders around the scope, cost and schedule, and managing the resources, risks, and contracts to achieve successful project delivery. This means acting as the central point of accountability for planning, organizing, and controlling project activities from inception to closeout, while ensuring compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and organizational objectives. Essential Functions Essential functions are the primary duties/main job responsibilities that an incumbent must be able to perform, with or without accommodation. Key accountability areas include project planning and scope, budget management and cost control, schedule and resource management, quality and compliance management, safety and risk management, and relationship and vendor management.
Job Factors Minimum Education Level Required:
Bachelor's degree in construction science, civil engineering, construction management, architecture or a closely related discipline. Associate or trade school certification accepted in lieu of Bachelor's degree with equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible direct construction project management experience.Minimum Experience Level Required:
Minimum seven years of progressively responsible construction industry or project management experience. Large multi-setting campus and/or complex industrial site construction experience preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Demonstrated knowledge of construction methods, materials, building codes, safety regulations and contract types. Demonstrated understanding of cost estimating, procurement and project controls. Familiarity with building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, safety and building automation) and maintenance best practices. Deep knowledge of relevant codes and regulations related to buildings, fire safety, OSHA, environmental, accessibility and healthcare standards. Strong budgeting, capital planning, procurement, contract management and vendor management skills and experience. Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical documents, plans, specifications and regulatory requirements and translate them into practical action plans. Excellent time management, prioritization and problemsolving skills to manage multiple, intersecting priorities. Ability to maintain composure under pressure, make timesensitive decisions, and balance safety, quality, cost and schedule tradeoffs. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and adapt messaging for the appropriate audience. Bilingual preferred. Excellent project management skills and abilities, including planning, scoping, and scheduling. Superb leadership and people management skills. Strong digital skills including proficiency with construction/project management platforms, spreadsheets, and document control systems. Ability to function in a complex team environment, collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams to meet needs. Ability to drive continuous improvement, sustainability, and change adoption across project operations. Selfdirected and selfmotivated, demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage competing demands efficiently and simultaneously. Strong critical thinking and adaptability in a fastchanging, highly regulated environment. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, meeting hard deadlines. Work Environment Physical Demands The physical demands described represent those that an employee must meet in order to perform the essential functions of the job. Frequent computer use at a workstation up to two hours or more at a time. Frequently fast-paced work with unscheduled interruptions. Work may require an adjusted work schedule, overtime, and evening/weekend hours in order to meet patient care demands. Some public contact requiring business-appropriate apparel and/or occasional use of personal protective equipment.
