Job Description

Project Manager Northside Construction - 2.8 Alpharetta, GA Job Details Full-time $67,343.05 - $95,000.00 a year 2 hours ago Benefits Fuel card Company truck Qualifications Carpentry Contractor management Coordinating with subcontractors on construction projects Construction team management Project management software Full Job Description About Northside Northside Construction builds custom decks, covered patios, and outdoor living spaces for homeowners across the Atlanta area. We're a growing residential specialty contractor known for quality craftsmanship and the kind of finish work that gets noticed at the property line. We're investing heavily in our client experience and our internal systems, and we need a Project Manager who can own both. This isn't a clipboard-and-spreadsheet job. Our PM is the person homeowners trust from the day construction starts until the day we hand over a project they'll enjoy for 20 years. What You'll Own You'll be the single point of contact for 6-12 active residential projects at a time.
That means:
Running the build from kickoff to closeout. Pre-construction walkthroughs, scheduling crews and subs, ordering materials, managing permits and inspections, daily problem-solving on site, and final walkthroughs with the homeowner. Owning the client relationship during the build. Weekly Friday updates, proactive heads-ups when anything changes, same-day responses to questions, and a calm, professional presence when homeowners get anxious (because they will). Driving the schedule. Knowing where every project stands, what's blocking it, and what's coming next. Not reacting — anticipating. Protecting margins. Tracking budget vs. actual, flagging overruns early, writing tight change orders before extra work happens. Quality control. Walking jobs regularly, catching issues before the homeowner does, holding the crew and subs to our standard. Punch list and closeout. Structured final walkthroughs, written punch lists with committed dates, and clean handoffs that earn 5-star reviews. Who You Are You probably have 5+ years running residential construction projects — decks, patios, outdoor living, additions, sunrooms, or full remodels. You've come up through the trades or worked closely with the people who have, and you can read a set of plans, spot a framing problem, and have a real conversation with a lead carpenter. You don't need to swing a hammer every day, but you've swung enough of them to earn respect on a job site. You're the kind of person who: Calls the homeowner before they call you Writes things down because verbal agreements are how trust dies Gets a sick feeling when a job is behind and someone hasn't been told Knows the local building inspectors by name Can deliver bad news clearly and kindly Sees a messy job site and fixes it without being asked Actually uses the project management software, instead of pretending to
