About the
Company:
Our client is a well-established builder/developer with a strong portfolio of projects across the region. As they continue to expand within the student housing market, they are seeking an experienced Project Manager who can take ownership of complex projects from concept through closeout. Position Overview:
The Project Manager will oversee all phases of construction for large-scale student housing projects , ensuring quality, schedule, and budget targets are met. The ideal candidate has deep experience in student housing and understands the unique demands of these high-density, amenity-driven developments. Experience working on the owner's side is a strong plus, though not required.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution of student housing projects. Manage all project documentation, contracts, change orders, and reporting. Coordinate with design teams, consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to drive project success. Oversee onsite progress to ensure quality control, safety standards, and adherence to plans/specifications. Develop and maintain project schedules, risk assessments, and cost tracking. Foster strong relationships with ownership, campus partners, and local entities as needed. Prepare and present project updates to leadership and ownership groups. Ensure timely delivery of units, amenities, and turnover milestones.
Qualifications:
10+ years of construction project management experience , with proven success delivering student housing projects (required). Experience working for a developer or on the owner's side is a strong plus . Strong understanding of multifamily building systems, high-density construction, and amenity-focused design. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency with project management software and standard construction technology tools. Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive accountability across teams.
