About the Role Sellers Dorsey is looking for an Associate Consultant based in Atlanta, GA or Tallahassee, FL areas who will support the timely and effective delivery of client services. This entry level position is the first step in a career path for future personal and professional growth at the firm. As an Associate Consultant, you will develop skills relating to healthcare strategy, finance, reimbursement and project management. Your responsibilities include supporting the Associate Director and Director as part of a team, including coordinating action items across the internal team, preparing for and debriefing internal and external meetings, tracking project progress, and researching policies including state/federal laws and regulations to understand current issues and health reform priorities. You will also conduct topical research, draft written and oral summaries of analyses, review financial models, and provide support for other project management related tasks as needed. Key Responsibilities Prepare and debrief internal and external meetings as directed by the Associate Director/Director. Maintain and organize client deliverables, financial trackers, action items, and project timelines using Excel and other shared systems. Assist with meeting, conference, panel, etc. planning and coordination. Assume increasing levels of responsibility related to project and client management as directed by the Director, Associate Director, and Senior Consultant. Achieve personal performance goals and build relationships/mentorships with other staff. Draft client deliverables as directed by the Director, Associate Director, and Senior Consultant. Research federal and state regulatory policies and keep up to date on state/federal/industry trends. Key Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Consulting, Economics, Health policy, public policy or a related discipline. Advanced degree in Business Administration or Health administration preferred. 1 or 2 years of relevant work experience in field is required. Experience working with data sets, reporting, or financial tracking is required. Proficiency in Excel (e.g. pivot tables, formulas) is required. Working knowledge of Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word is required. Medicaid knowledge is a plus. Other Requirements Demonstrated oral and written communication skills including ability to produce concise summaries of technical material and develop client deliverables. Demonstrated secondary research skills including knowledge of major publicly-available resources useful to background research for Medicaid and other healthcare programs. Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment. Highly efficient, flexible, and motivate. Excellent analytical and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and in teams. Ability to interact professionally with team members and clients. Detail oriented, with experience organizing and coordinating the work of others. Previous project and task management experience is strongly desired. Ability to be an active listener in meetings and discussions with clients, strategic partners and fellow employees. Compensation & Benefits The anticipated salary range for candidates is $55,000/year to up to $68,000/year. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry, the candidate's education, and the candidate's market location. Typically, candidates are not hired near the top of the range and compensation decisions are made based upon Sellers Dorsey's Total Compensation Policies & Guidelines. The successful candidate will also be eligible to participate in our annual Corporate Incentive Plan (CIP) that can range to up to 6% of annual salary. Provided they meet all eligibility requirements under the applicable plan documents, the successful candidate (and their eligible dependents) will be eligible to enroll in group healthcare plans that offer medical, dental, and vision and for insurance plans offering short term disability, long term disability, and basic life. Employees are also able to enroll in Sellers Dorsey's 401k plan provided they meet plan requirements. Sellers Dorsey offers a Flexible Time Off that allows employees to use what they need. Additionally, we offer 10 paid holidays throughout the calendar year, paid time off for qualifying medical leave, and up to 12 weeks of combined paid parental and bonding leave.
