Job Overview The Field Project Manager is a hybrid leadership role designed for someone who can lead by example in the field while helping projects stay on track from start to finish. This person will serve as a key point of coordination between the field team, clients, and internal leadership to ensure projects are completed efficiently, professionally, and to a high standard. This is not a desk-only project management role. The ideal candidate will be comfortable stepping in where needed, supporting technicians on-site, helping solve problems in real time, and taking ownership of the final mile of project delivery. This individual will help drive accountability, improve consistency in the field, and ensure projects are completed thoroughly rather than left with loose ends. Responsibilities Lead field execution on residential integration projects from rough-in through final completion Coordinate technicians and delegate tasks to keep projects moving efficiently and effectively Serve as a field leader who sets the tone through accountability, professionalism, and hands-on support Communicate with clients on-site regarding project progress, expectations, and outstanding items Identify issues proactively and work with leadership to keep projects on time and on track Help ensure systems are fully completed, tested, and delivered to the company's quality standards Support final project closeout by verifying all details have been addressed before turnover Assist in creating and reinforcing field processes and standard operating procedures Mentor technicians and help elevate the team's performance, ownership, and attention to detail Step in tactically when needed, whether that means building a rack, troubleshooting, coordinating labor, or helping push a project across the finish line Qualifications 5+ years of experience in residential AV, smart home, or low-voltage integration Proven experience as a Lead Technician, Field Lead, or similar hands-on leadership role Strong understanding of residential installation standards, system finishing, and field coordination Ability to lead technicians in a way that earns respect and brings out their best work Strong communication skills with both clients and internal team members Highly organized, dependable, and resourceful under pressure Ability to see the full scope of a project rather than only the task directly in front of you Comfortable being hands-on in the field while also managing timelines, priorities, and team execution Preferred Experience Experience with residential control and automation platforms such as Control4, Savant, Crestron Home, or similar Familiarity with lighting and shading systems such as Lutron Strong networking knowledge and troubleshooting ability Experience helping establish field standards, workflows, or SOPs Exposure to both residential and light commercial integration environments is a plus Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off Retirement benefits Company-supplied tools and support Access to a company vehicle for project-related use Training and certification support Opportunity to purchase or receive product for personal system development in certain cases Team lunches, holiday gatherings, and a collaborative environment that values contribution
