Full-Time A well-established general contracting company with multiple offices throughout the United States is seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join their growing team in the Atlanta area. This employee-owned (ESOP) organization is known for its strong company culture, long-term stability, and commitment to developing its employees. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting commercial and light industrial construction projects and will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and clients to help ensure projects are completed successfully from preconstruction through closeout. Responsibilities Assist Project Managers with the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial and light industrial construction projects Manage project documentation, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting notes Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to maintain project schedules and budgets Support procurement and material tracking efforts Monitor project progress and assist with problem-solving throughout the construction process Help maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and project stakeholders Participate in project meetings and site visits as needed Assist with project closeout documentation and final turnover Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in construction project management or project engineering Experience working on commercial and/or light industrial construction projects required Construction Management degree or equivalent degree preferred Strong understanding of construction processes, documentation, and project coordination Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software platforms What the Company Offers Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) Competitive compensation package Excellent healthcare and benefits Strong company culture focused on employee growth and teamwork Long-term career advancement opportunities No travel required This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected and financially stable contractor with a strong national presence and a collaborative team environment.
