Requirements for Urgent Island Restoration (UIR) Project Manager are extensive and encompass various aspects from leadership, technical skills, and communication abilities. Here's a breakdown of the key responsibilities and requirements:
RESPONSIBILITIES
1.
Relationship Management and Business Development:
  • Strengthen relationships with existing and potential customers through business development activities.
  • Attend industry events or customer entertainment activities within company guidelines.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, subcontractors, consultants, and insurance company representatives.
2.
Hiring and Employee Management:
  • Hire Lead Technicians and Service Technicians based on UIR Core Values.
  • Coach, mentor, and motivate employees.
  • Ensure safety policy compliance on job sites.
  • Conduct probationary reviews and annual reviews for technicians.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with staff and customers.
3.
Estimate Follow-Up and Project Commencement:
  • Correspond with adjusters and customers to address questions or concerns.
  • Secure work authorizations and deposits according to office policies.
  • Coordinate with hygienists and abatement subcontractors based on project requirements.
4.
Job Coordination and Oversight:
  • Coordinate all work duties and schedules with personnel and subcontractors.
  • Attend after-hours emergency jobs to ensure completion.
  • Ensure safety measures are in place and followed on job sites.
  • Monitor job progress and make necessary adjustments.
5.
Timecard Review and Compliance:
  • Review technicians' timecards daily.
  • Ensure technicians are properly equipped with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Monitor inventory of supplies and equipment.
6.
Monday Morning Meeting and Vehicle Maintenance:
  • Conduct Monday morning meetings to discuss praises, concerns, and other updates.
  • Check and replenish first aid kits.
  • Provide updates to existing policies and procedures to technicians.
  • Ensure cleanliness of vehicles.
7.
Damage Assessment:
  • Assess damage at job sites and provide data.
  • Provide technical explanations and feedback to clients, adjusters, and consultants.
  • Document necessary information for estimate creation such as moisture readings, pictures, and field sketches.
Requirements:
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Technical proficiency in assessing damage and creating estimates.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Commitment to safety standards and policy compliance.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under time constraints.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (e.g., IICRC standards).
  • Organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively.
