The Idaho Department of Labor supports individuals through career transitions, determine benefit eligibility, connects employers with workers and oversees tax and labor law compliance. Idaho Department of Labor is seeking a skilled Workforce Project Manager to lead key projects that improve workforce programs and services across the state. In this role, you will coordinate planning, implementation, and evaluation of projects that strengthen service delivery, enhance technology and data use, and support continuous improvement efforts. You will work closely with internal teams, state partners, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are well‑managed, inclusive, and deliver meaningful outcomes. Examples of Duties:
Lead project planning and development, including building goals, work plans, timelines, and evaluation methods for workforce initiatives. Coordinate with internal teams (program, IT, fiscal) and external partners to keep projects on track. Support communication and engagement strategies to build stakeholder understanding and support. Manage project budgets, contracts, and partner relationships. Track progress, evaluate project outcomes, and communicate results to leadership and partners. Facilitate meetings, working groups, and collaborative sessions. Supervise project staff and support training or onboarding for team members.
Minimum Qualifications:

Experience with:
Planning, implementing, and evaluating projects, including developing scopes, goals, work plans, timelines, and measurement tools. Interpreting complex material and translating it into clear, usable information. Developing and monitoring contracts and/or budgets. Coordinating across functional teams in an operational environment. Experience working with public workforce development programs, including WIOA or other American Job Center programs and services.
