A qualified candidate will have a background in construction management, budgeting and analysis. We are looking for someone that possesses excellent communication skills and will be comfortable managing multiple projects. Above everything else, we are looking for a team player that will be able to resolve issues in the day to day operation and meet our customers expectations. The Project manager assistant will assist the project from initiation to close, hiring subcontractors, working with vendors and tracking inventory of equipment and materials. This person should be knowledgeable about regulations, permits and project management methods. They should also work well with others, be highly organized and detail-oriented, meet deadlines and strive to stay within budget.Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in residential project management
- Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints and engineering
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer software
- Extremely organized
- Ability to budget, schedule, and negotiate
- Familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, terms, and conditions
- Experience with building "on your land" residential homes
- Strong leadership and management skills Responsibilities for
Construction Project Manager Assistant:
- Determine and define scope of work for subcontractors
- Predict resources needed to complete projects
- Obtain necessary permits, approvals, and other jurisdictional requirements
- Collaborate on project budget(s) based on scope of work and resource requirements
- Assist in costs in order to meet budget
- Provide direction over contracts and subcontracts
- Assist in construction schedule and activities
- Issue progress updates as needed regarding costs and timelines
- Ensure work is done in compliance with all relevant building and safety codes
- Assist in subcontractor and supplier relationships
- Coordinate efforts across entire project between management, engineers, and subcontractors
