Job Description

Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Estimator/Project Manager Assistant to join our dynamic construction team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support project estimation, bidding processes, and project management activities across diverse construction projects. As a vital team member, you will assist in preparing accurate cost estimates, managing project documentation, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure successful project execution. Your enthusiasm for construction and strong organizational skills will help drive our projects forward with precision and efficiency. Duties Assist in preparing detailed construction estimates using industry-standard software such as Bid2Win and Vista, ensuring accuracy in pricing and cost control measures. Support the review and analysis of project plans, specifications, and contracts to develop comprehensive bids that meet client requirements. Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to gather competitive pricing information and negotiate terms that benefit the project's budget and timeline. Contribute to project scheduling, tracking progress, and maintaining documentation related to budgets, change orders, and contract compliance. Help monitor costs throughout the construction process to identify potential overruns early and implement effective cost control strategies. Collaborate with project managers on site visits to gain construction site experience, assess progress, and ensure adherence to safety standards. Assist in contract administration tasks such as reviewing agreements, change orders, and scope modifications to support seamless project management. Qualifications Proven experience or education in construction estimating or project management; familiarity with Bid2Win, Vista, or similar estimating tools is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles, cost control techniques, and pricing strategies within the construction industry. Excellent negotiation skills for working with vendors, subcontractors, and clients to secure favorable terms. Construction site experience is a plus—understanding on-the-ground realities enhances your ability to support accurate estimates and project oversight. Familiarity with construction management practices including contracts, scheduling, and project documentation. Ability to effectively communicate complex information clearly and professionally across teams and stakeholders. Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with construction-specific software is advantageous. Join us in shaping innovative construction solutions!
