This role is responsible for coordinating engineering, production, procurement, and customer communication to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with customer expectations. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role that requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple custom projects simultaneously. Key Responsibilities Manage multiple custom crane projects from kickoff through shipment and installation Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle Coordinate with internal engineering, production, and purchasing teams to ensure timely execution Track project schedules, milestones, and deliverables to ensure on-time shipment Identify and resolve project risks, delays, and technical challenges Manage and document change orders, ensuring proper scope and cost adjustments Communicate proactively with customers regarding status, timelines, and any issues Ensure all project documentation is complete and properly filed Support installation coordination and field-related questions as needed Qualifications 3-10+ years of project management experience in manufacturing, construction, or engineered-to-order products Strong technical aptitude; ability to understand drawings, specifications, and mechanical systems Experience working with custom or made-to-order products preferred Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.); ERP experience a plus Preferred Experience (Not Required, but Valuable) Overhead crane or material handling industry experience Experience coordinating with structural engineers or stamped drawings Knowledge of fabrication, welding, or mechanical assembly processes Experience with job costing and margin management What Success Looks Like in This Role Projects ship on time and meet customer expectations Issues are identified early and resolved proactively Change orders are captured and properly managed Communication with customers and internal teams is clear and consistent Minimal escalation required to management Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary (commensurate with experience) Performance-based bonus opportunities Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off Why Join HSI Growing company with strong demand and long-term customers Opportunity to work on complex, custom-engineered projects Direct impact on operations and customer success Collaborative, hands-on environment
