This role is ideal for someone looking to continue growing their career in construction management while gaining exposure to all phases of project execution. The company offers a team-oriented environment where individuals work closely with experienced Project Managers and field teams to build strong project management fundamentals. The Role The Assistant Project Manager will support project teams with documentation, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and project administration throughout the construction lifecycle. This role works closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to help ensure projects remain organized, compliant, and on track. Success in this role means being highly organized, proactive, and eager to take ownership of project support responsibilities. Responsibilities Assist with project coordination from pre-construction through closeout Support preparation of estimates, proposals, schedules, and project documentation Assist with RFIs, submittals, change events, and progress tracking Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams to maintain project flow Support project safety planning and quality control processes Participate in project meetings and maintain accurate documentation Assist with tracking project costs, budgets, and schedules Build strong working relationships with internal teams and project stakeholders Requirements Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred 2-5 years of construction industry experience or relevant project coordination experience Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Interest in growing within commercial construction project management Proficiency with Microsoft Office; construction software experience is a plus Salary Competitive compensation based on experience. Location Illinois based role. Project and office-based role depending on business needs.
