Job Description

Job Overview:
The Assistant Project Manager will collaborate with office personnel and field Superintendents to ensure the successful completion of construction projects. This role encompasses various responsibilities including document management, scheduling, reporting, quality control, safety, and other essential tasks throughout the construction phase. The Project Manager must exhibit proficiency in managing projects from subcontractor awards to turnover to owners or tenants, adapting to project complexities accordingly.
Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee project activities, coordinating with Project Superintendent, Project Engineer, and subcontractors as needed. Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure timely completion. Manage submittals, shop drawings, and material/equipment deliveries. Coordinate drawing revisions and Requests for Information (RFIs) during construction. Handle cost control, subcontractor, and owner change orders effectively. Coordinate installations with public and private utility companies as required. Facilitate construction meetings with owners, architects, and stakeholders. Provide weekly progress/status reports to management, owners, and third parties. Administer project punch lists and ensure timely completion. Prepare project close-out documents and coordinate submissions to relevant authorities and clients. Education /
Experience:
Ability to analyze construction issues and devise solutions effectively. 2-5 years of experience in the construction industry. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience. Proficiency in reading and interpreting project specifications, drawings, and contracts. Knowledge of construction equipment and techniques. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on teamwork and process improvement. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word) and scheduling software such as MS Project.
