Job Description
Operations Leader Peoria, Illinois | Leadership Team Position $100,000-$130,000 + Bonus + Benefits Widmer Interiors is seeking a high-capacity leader to join our executive leadership team and help drive the next chapter of our growth. This is not a traditional operations role. We are looking for someone who can lead people, execute projects, improve systems, embrace technology, and help us think differently about how work gets done. This person will oversee critical day-to-day operations while helping build stronger teams and smarter processes for the future. This role will become one of four key leaders helping run our company alongside our CEO, CFO, and VP of Sales. About Widmer Interiors Widmer Interiors is a family-owned commercial interiors and office furniture company headquartered in Peoria, Illinois. We help organizations create better workplaces across healthcare, education, corporate, and commercial markets. We work hard, support one another, care deeply about our customers, and are committed to continual improvement. What You'll Do You will oversee and develop key operational functions including our installation team, warehouse operations, scheduling/logistics, and large project execution.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead, coach, and develop operational staff Participate as a member of the executive leadership team Help establish KPIs, staffing plans, and operational priorities Serve as lead project manager for large and complex installations Coordinate with customers, contractors, architects, and project teams Manage schedules, phased installations, and field execution Oversee installation labor estimating and assist with complex quotations Identify and implement process improvements and technology solutions Use tools such as Excel, AI platforms, workflow automation, and emerging technologies to help create smarter systems and processesWhat We're Looking For Required:
Bachelor's degree Leadership experience Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Strong technology aptitude Ability to lead people and build trust Strong communication skills Helpful experience: Commercial construction Project management Operations leadership Logistics, facilities, or installation management Commercial furniture experience (not required) The ideal candidate is humble, accountable, team-oriented, embraces technology, and can dive into details while thinking strategically. Compensation & Benefits $100,000-$130,000 salary plus performance bonus ($8,000-$12,000 target) Healthcare, dental, vision, life insurance 401(k) with company match Paid vacation and holidays Long-term growth opportunities Schedule averages 40-45 hours per week with flexibility. Based in Peoria with occasional regional travel.Pay:
