Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead highway and roadway construction projects in the Quad Cities and surrounding Midwest markets. This role is responsible for managing DOT funded work from preconstruction through closeout, with a strong focus on schedule, cost control, safety, and coordination with public agencies.

The ideal candidate has a solid background in transportation infrastructure and is comfortable managing complex civil scopes in active traffic environments.
Responsibilities:
Manage highway and roadway construction projects from award through completionDevelop and manage project budgets, schedules, and cost forecastsCoordinate with DOT representatives, inspectors, engineers, and subcontractorsOversee project documentation including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and pay applicationsMonitor production, quantities, and unit pricingEnsure compliance with safety standards, project specifications, and DOT requirementsSupport preconstruction planning, job setup, and logisticsWork closely with superintendents to drive schedule and field performance
Requirements:
5 or more years of project management experience in highway or heavy civil constructionStrong knowledge of DOT specifications, unit price work, and public bid projectsExperience with grading, paving, utilities, structures, and roadway improvementsAbility to manage multiple stakeholders and public agency coordinationProficiency with scheduling software, spreadsheets, and project management systemsStrong communication, organization, and leadership skills
