Job SummaryResponsible for all aspects of data center design & construction for the respective project from project inception, through design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and hand-over of an operating facility, which could include ground-up construction, fit-outs, remodels, etc. Responsible for driving a safe, quality-first culture, ensuring that all applicable codes, standards, and good construction practices are followed. Ensuring that internal controls are adhered to at each step of the process through effective contract administration including generation, review, management, and monitoring of prime contracts, subcontracts, change orders, cost forecasts, and other pertinent documents and documentation.

ResponsibilitiesProject ManagementLeading a team of PMs on multiple construction projects in northern EuropeLead by example on safety, standards, and cultureManage and monitor project progress, quality, and compliance with building regulationsEnsuring projects are meeting or exceeding company expectations.

Overview of project risk registersVendor RelationsDirect external vendors per project comprising general contractors, A&E design teams, commissioning agents, equipment suppliers, etc.

Contributes to establishing and maintaining high value relationshipsTraining ProgramsParticipates in training programs and ensuring developing teams skillsContract AdministrationManages contract administration procedures including generation, review, and monitoring of prime contracts, subcontracts, change orders, cost forecasts, and other pertinent documents and documentationLiaising with local authorities and relevant State agencies and departmentsLeadershipCoordinates all internal and external project team members including internal Design, Procurement, Operations, Commercial, and IT/Network support teamsLeading by example with strategy and structure Policy & Procedure DevelopmentManages to maintain best-in-class policies and proceduresManages project closure, handover, and lessons learned processes are established and implementedQualificationsHNC/HND or equivalent in construction, construction project management, and /or Services engineering or with equivalent experienceProven years of experience in project and construction management that will include critical Infrastructure for Data Centers, Pharmaceutical, Biotech, or similar environmentsAbility and willingness to travel throughout the EMEACustomer focus and excellent soft skillsSelf-motivated and flexible and creative, solving day to day delivery problems that require Director escalation in a fast-paced industryIn-depth knowledge of relevant statutory regulations and industry best practiceEstablishing project roadmaps and its verificationBeing decisive and persistent in closing out issues- keeping your promiseExperienced in Construction procurement methodologiesMS Office including MS Project, Excel, and Visio skills and also applying additional Equinix platformsEquinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.
