Job Description:
Our client is a multidisciplinary engineering firm focusing on the design, integration, and construction management of capital asset projects. They provide full-service project management from ideation, budgeting and capital approval, through construction and startup. They pride themselves not just in completing quality projects, but in developing partnerships with their clients and vendors. Our client is seeking a Project Manager. While this position will be based in their Downers Grove, IL office, projects will take you throughout the United States. Travel is required and can be expected to be 30-50%. Other responsibilities of this position are: Project Manager will be required to set schedules, budgets, and oversee the design of systems and projects, including managing other engineers and CAD designers to accomplish project needs. Project Manager will be responsible for the selection and procurement of equipment and contractor services. Project Manager will be responsible for leading project meetings with internal and external partners. Project Manager will be responsible for tracking and maintaining budgets, project schedules, and deliverables. Project Manager will need to work with vendors and OEMs to prevent and rectify issues that occur in the field. While in the field, the Project Manager will be responsible for observing construction to ensure work is correct, safe, meets specifications and quality control standards, and the intent of the design.
Requirements:
Minimum of a bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering 5-10 years of relevant design, project management, and/or construction management experience Strong leadership and interpersonal skills are a must EIT/PE licensing is preferred. If not already a licensed PE in the state of Illinois, it is expected that the candidate will pursue licensing Experience in AutoCAD is a plus Ability to travel frequently; up to 50% travel
