With a strong track record in rooftop solar deployment, the business is helping accelerate the buildout of clean energy infrastructure through fast-paced, high-impact project execution. About the Role Our client is seeking a Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of commercial solar PV projects from pre-construction through closeout. This individual will manage project execution, drive consistency across delivery teams, and support the development of junior Project Managers while maintaining accountability for schedule, budget, quality, and safety performance. This position is based in the Greater Chicago area, with relocation support available for qualified candidates. Key Responsibilities Lead execution of multiple commercial solar projects across the full project lifecycle Manage portfolio-level budgets, schedules, forecasting, and reporting Mentor and support Project Managers and project delivery teams Coordinate with engineering, construction, procurement, finance, and safety teams Oversee subcontractor performance, change management, and risk mitigation Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within financial targets Provide regular updates to senior leadership and key stakeholders Qualifications 8+ years of experience in solar or construction project management Experience managing multiple projects or portfolios simultaneously Strong knowledge of commercial solar PV construction and interconnection processes Familiarity with EPC contracts, subcontract management, and project controls Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills OSHA certification preferred and willingness to travel to project sites
