Job Description
Designer & Selection Coordinator:
Full-Time | Carmel, IN | In-Office Help our clients fall in love with their homes again. MJ Brown Renovations is a design-build firm serving discerning homeowners across Carmel and Hamilton County. We transform high-end kitchens, baths, and whole-home renovations for clients who expect craftsmanship, communication, and a finished product worth bragging about. Our pipeline is full, our clients are eager, and we are growing. We are looking for a talented Designer & Selection Coordinator to join our team and help carry that momentum forward. The Role:
As a Designer & Selection Coordinator, you will be the creative compass guiding our clients from initial vision through final installation. You will translate lifestyle and taste into thoughtful, beautiful design while keeping selections, timelines, and expectations on track. You will work directly with homeowners investing in properties valued at $800K and above, where the bar for quality, service, and follow-through is high. What You'll Do:
Lead design for kitchens, bathrooms, and whole-home renovation projects from concept through completion. Guide clients through finish, fixture, cabinetry, tile, countertop, lighting, and hardware selections. Build trust-based client relationships and deliver a service experience our clients want to tell their friends about. Translate client style preferences into cohesive, on-trend designs that still feel timeless. Collaborate closely with project managers, estimators, and trades to ensure the design intent is executed in the field. Maintain organized selection schedules, specifications, and documentation for every active project. Support the sales process by helping prospective clients see the possibilities for their home. What We're Looking For Strong communication skills — written, verbal, and in person — with the polish to represent our brand to high-net-worth clients. An understanding of the sales process and how design supports it; comfortable presenting ideas and earning client confidence. Proficiency across current residential design styles and trends, with a working knowledge of materials, finishes, and product lines. Experience designing kitchens, bathrooms, and whole-home renovations. Ability to thrive both as part of a team and working independently to drive projects forward. A team mindset — non-negotiable. We win together. A genuine commitment to client satisfaction and the kind of follow-through that builds referrals. Hunger for growth, ownership, and the chance to advance with a growing company. Why MJ Brown:
Established design-build firm with deep roots in the Carmel and Hamilton County market. Premium client base and high-quality projects that let your design work shine.
