Job Description

The Opportunity:
We're looking for a sharp, adaptable Project Coordinator to join our client's affordable housing development team in Carmel, IN. This is a fast-paced, high-visibility role supporting a team that's constantly managing multiple projects across our affordable housing portfolio. No real estate or finance background required — training will be provided. What we're looking for is someone who is exceptionally organized, thrives in a dynamic environment, and brings a problem-solving mindset to everything they do.
What You'll Do:
Prepare and support tax credit, loan, and HUD applications — including document preparation and coordinating third-party reports Manage invoicing, expense reports, wire and check requests, and reimbursements Coordinate travel arrangements for team members Draft and send correspondence, presentations, transmittals, and emails Reach out to internal and external contacts to obtain required signatures and documentation Liaise with outside vendors, third parties, and local municipalities to gather project documentation Assist with general administrative tasks including ordering supplies, filing, shipping, and phones Support department events and team initiatives as needed
What We're Looking For:
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills — you catch what others miss Flexibility and adaptability — you're comfortable when priorities shift and processes evolve Logical thinker who can problem-solve independently and pivot quickly Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat A genuine desire to learn and grow within the affordable housing and real estate development industry College degree preferred; relevant administrative experience welcome Previous experience in an administrative assistant, office manager, or project coordinator role
