$135k - $165k+ DOE A growing design-build commercial general contractor Position Overview We are seeking a seasoned and highly capable Senior Project Manager to lead and oversee large-scale and complex commercial construction projects. This role is responsible not only for successful project execution, but also for mentoring project teams, driving process improvements, and partnering with leadership to support company growth. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, financial acumen, and proven leadership in delivering projects safely, on schedule, and within budget. Key Responsibilities Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for multiple commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. Serve as the primary point of accountability for project performance, including schedule, cost, quality, safety, and client satisfaction. Lead and mentor Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and project teams, fostering professional development and best practices. Collaborate with preconstruction teams on budgeting, estimating, value engineering, constructability reviews, and risk assessment. Develop and oversee comprehensive project plans, including master schedules, contract strategies, staffing plans, and resource allocation. Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders. Proactively identify project risks and opportunities, implementing mitigation strategies and corrective actions as needed. Ensure strict compliance with safety programs, company standards, and all applicable codes and regulations. Oversee project financials, including budgets, forecasts, cash flow, change management, and cost reporting, ensuring financial targets are met. Prepare and present high-level project status updates to executive leadership and external stakeholders. Contribute to continuous improvement efforts, including process development, technology adoption, and operational efficiency. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (advanced degree preferred). Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive project management experience within the commercial construction industry. Demonstrated success managing large, complex, and high-value commercial construction projects. Strong understanding of construction means and methods, scheduling, contracting, cost controls, and safety management. Proven leadership experience with the ability to build, lead, and motivate high-performing project teams. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with a client-focused mindset. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Proficiency with project management and construction software platforms (e.g., scheduling, budgeting, and document control tools).
