Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Manager to support the execution of full-cycle product development projects. This role works closely with senior project managers, engineering teams, and product management to help drive schedules, coordinate resources, and ensure deliverables remain on track. The ideal candidate has experience in technical project environments and is eager to grow within a collaborative RD&E-driven organization.
Responsibilities:
Support the planning and execution of product development projects from concept through launch. Assist engineering teams in translating technical requirements into actionable tasks, milestones, and timeline updates. Develop and maintain project schedules, tracking progress, dependencies, and risk indicators. Support resource allocation efforts, coordinating with internal teams and external partners to maintain project momentum. Monitor and help track ODC (Other Direct Costs) and Capital expenditures, ensuring expenses are documented and aligned with budgets. Assist with certification and compliance activities, including CE, FCC licensing, shock and vibration testing, third-party evaluations, and related documentation. Identify and communicate project risks to senior project managers and stakeholders. Collaborate with the Product Management team on launch readiness tasks, documentation, and cross-functional coordination. Contribute to project reporting, status updates, and meeting facilitation.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
3+ years of project management experience, preferably within product development, engineering, or R&D environments.
Knowledge of:
Foundational project management methodologies and when to apply them in product development workflows. Basic engineering resource coordination, including tracking assignments, monitoring workload, and supporting schedule alignment. Working with external vendors or test labs to support scoped project activities and deliverables. Core R&D development stages such as prototyping, testing, and preparing products for release. Budget-tracking basics, including monitoring project expenses and supporting ODC documentation. Fundamental risk-management practices, including identifying issues early and escalating as needed.
Skilled at:
Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects from concept to launch. Experience developing schedules, forecasting resources, and managing technical and financial project components. Understanding of product certification processes (e.g., CE, FCC), environmental and durability testing, and third-party compliance testing. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Desirable Qualifications:
PMP certification or equivalent advanced project management credential. Experience in electrical/electronic systems, instrumentation, or other regulated technical product industries.
