Project Manager

JOB SUMMARY

The Project Manager is responsible for all Capex projects at the facility from initial idea to full execution. They will support the overall facility operations and management with a Capex budget for the creation and expansion of the facility. This position is critical to the expansion of the processing plant and achievement of the strategic vision.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Manages the facilitys Capex budget for the yearAssists the maintenance department in achieving goals through Capex projectsIs the liaison and Company representative for outside contractors, supplies, and vendorsAble to request proposals/agreements and be able to negotiate with outside contractors and vendors on costs and schedulesAble to manage multiple Capex projects at one time, all with varying budget amountsAbility to prioritize company needsMaintain a high attention to detail with strong communication skillsMaintain all Capex documents related to all projectsAbility to support and direct a teamAbility to draft detailed scopes of work and designs, and the entire process related to a Capex projectAble to identify areas/processes within projects that will save money to reduce unnecessary spendingAutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite and drafting experienceFosters a culture of safety awareness through correct maintenance processes and hold contractors accounting to a high level of safetyFollow the plants continuous improvement process and planDirect reports for this position: Project Superintendent, Project Coordinator & four Projects and Facilities crewAll other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Must have a bachelors of science in

Engineering:

Mechanical, Civil, Industrial etc.

Must have at least 5 years of experience managing projects or project management, preferably in a beef processing facilityExperience managing high levels of CapexExperience working with project management system (Microsoft project, Monday.com, Asana or similar)Must have time flexibility to work on holidays or weekends as needed Ability to make sound decisions and while under pressure
