Job Description

Job Title:
Project Architect Job Description As a Project Architect, you will assist the Principal-In-Charge in formulating design objectives and ensure that project activities align with these goals. You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and scheduling activities to meet project objectives while implementing operating policies, procedures, and systems to support planned operations. Your role will include managing staff assigned to projects, coordinating specifications and material selections, and ensuring compliance with building codes. You will also be a key resource for project information, addressing internal and external queries, and actively participating in meetings to promote project communication. Responsibilities Formulate design objectives in collaboration with the Principal-In-Charge. Plan, organize, and schedule project activities to meet objectives. Develop and implement operating policies, procedures, and systems. Document and communicate policies to project personnel. Evaluate, recommend, and implement procedures for data acquisition, management, and quality control. Manage staff assigned to the project. Coordinate project specifications and material selections. Motivate and monitor the progress of work performed by project staff. Provide Project Building Code Compliance Review. Respond to external requests for information. Plan and participate in meetings and discussion groups to promote project communication. Work on multiple projects and a diverse range of project types. Serve as a key resource for project information and resolve problems or questions. Establish and maintain an active network of professional contacts. Remain informed of ongoing and completed research in related areas. Actively participate in professionally sponsored meetings, seminars, and symposia. Essential Skills Proficiency in Revit. Expertise in architectural design. Strong project management skills. Licensed architect with at least 3 years of experience after obtaining licensure. Additional Skills & Qualifications NCARB Accredited Educational Institution degree (Bachelor's or Master's). Professional Architect Licensure. Or in process to receive Licensure. Experience in commercial architecture. Work Environment You will work in an office setting alongside four other Project Architects. The firm is extremely diverse, offering services to the construction industry, private sector, public sector, and government. The company has recently rebranded to highlight their architectural work as a top-producing part of the organization. There is an opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects, including recently added interior design offerings. The role also offers the potential for growth into employee ownership and includes a great bonus program. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lexington, KY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $46.00 - $67.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
