Job Description
Construction Project Manager Louisville, KY Key Responsibilities Plan, manage, and oversee construction projects from initiation through completion. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and work plans. Coordinate architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and internal teams. Monitor project progress and adjust plans to address delays, scope changes, and resource constraints. Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and change orders to ensure project requirements are met. Manage procurement of materials, equipment, permits, and subcontractor services. Track project costs, approve invoices, and help control expenses to support budget adherence. Lead project meetings and provide regular status updates to clients, leadership, and stakeholders. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, environmental requirements, and company policies. Identify risks, resolve issues, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track. Maintain accurate project documentation, including schedules, reports, RFIs, submittals, and closeout materials. Support final inspections, punch list completion, and project turnover. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Several years of project management experience in construction, with a strong record of delivering projects successfully. Knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, contract administration, and project controls. Familiarity with local building codes, safety standards, permitting processes, and regulatory requirements. Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, and cross-functional project teams. Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in construction/project management software and Microsoft Office tools. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience with commercial, residential, industrial, or healthcare construction projects. Knowledge of scheduling and construction software such as Procore, Design Build, Plangrid, Sage, or Microsoft Project. Experience with cost reporting, subcontract buyout, and change management processes. Understanding of sustainability practices, quality control, and risk management principles.
