The Project Manager manages timeline of complex projects from inception to conclusion; coordinates product development projects as specified by the Director of Operations to meet strategic goals of the company.
Essential Job Results :
Ensures that projects are progressing and meeting their deadlines, budget and scope, as the point of contact on all new standard project development, performs a variety of highly skilled duties such as: assembling, coordinating and managing multidisciplinary teams. Working with Regional Sales Managers, and other NF employees to create project master schedules. Facilitate and troubleshoot problems by developing complex systems, coordinating and development and design projects. Provide high technical and management skills by advising and assisting departmental management and personnel and responding to inquiries about projects. Chairs various project review and pre-submittal meetings. Establishes and maintains liaison as required with boards, committees and commissions and interdepartmental communication needs. Ensures on time completion by maintaining and communicating Project Master Schedule; monitoring design costs and contractual terms and conditions; scheduling and leading regular product development meetings with participants from all affected department; communicating frequently with departments involved in product development such as Concept, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Safety. Creating and maintaining a schedule for each project that shows how the project will be completed according to product introduction and launch plan. Communicates and ensures approval of new product development by conducting and scheduling milestone meetings. Presents overall status of projects to Director for approval to work towards the next milestone on project plan. Participates in quarterly Portfolio Management Review. Prepares product information for presentation by VP of Global Innovation to CEO and other VP's. Maintains compliance to environmental standard by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
Job Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management OR 5 years' experience in construction project management.
Working Conditions :
This job generally operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some projects may require more out-of-the-area and overnight travel.
