Job Summary As the Electrical Project Manager you will be responsible for overseeing and managing electrical projects from conception to completion. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in electrical systems, and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and within budget. Key Responsibilities Project Planning and Coordination Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements. Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements and specifications are understood and met. Review and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications to ensure compliance and resolve any design or technical issues. Conduct regular project meetings to communicate project status, address concerns, and monitor progress. Budget and Cost Management Prepare project budgets, including cost estimates, material and labor costs, and contingencies. Monitor project expenses, track budget performance, and implement cost control measures as necessary. Review and approve subcontractor and supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to contracts. Resource Allocation and Management Coordinate and allocate resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, to support project activities. Monitor and evaluate subcontractor performance and resolve any issues or conflicts. Develop and maintain project schedules, identifying critical milestones. Monitor project progress against the schedule and implement strategies to mitigate delays or risks. Coordinate with the project team to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and resources. Communicate schedule updates to stakeholders and address any schedule-related concerns or challenges. Quality Assurance and Safety Implement quality control measures to ensure electrical installations meet established standards and specifications. Monitor construction activities to identify and resolve quality issues or non-compliance. Promote and enforce adherence to safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices. Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential safety hazards and take corrective actions.
Reporting and Documentation:
Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and stakeholders. Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, permits, and other project-related records. Monitor and track project documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements. Prepare closeout documentation, including as-built drawings, operation manuals, and warranties. Qualifications and Requirements Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or a related field preferred. Proven experience as an electrical project manager or in a similar role within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, regulations, and industry best practices. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
