JOB MISSION
In this role of Sr Project Manager, you will be leading complex, cross‑functional initiatives that deliver meaningful business outcomes and advance organizational strategy. This role drives the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple concurrent projects or workstreams using a best‑fit delivery approach (Agile, hybrid, or traditional), while adapting to evolving priorities and business needs. As a trusted partner to business, technology, and delivery teams, the Senior Project Manager fosters collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. As a senior member of the PMO, this role contributes to PMO standards, mentors other project managers, and proactively identifies opportunities to strengthen delivery effectiveness, governance, and operational maturity.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of multiple cross‑functional projects or workstreams, ensuring alignment to strategic objectives, timelines, scope, budget, and quality expectations Apply and tailor delivery methodologies (Agile, hybrid, or traditional) to suit project needs while promoting agility and continuous improvement Establish and maintain clear project plans, milestones, dependencies, and success metrics Proactively manage project RAID (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies), including mitigation planning and timely escalation when required Facilitate project governance through structured status reporting, RAG indicators, milestone reviews, and leadership updates Partner with business stakeholders, product, engineering, and technology teams to translate objectives into actionable requirements and execution plans Identify opportunities to improve project delivery processes, tooling, and ways of working across the PMO Scheduling and facilitating necessary meetings at all project stages; managing decisions and tasks; and monitoring and reporting progress Working with outside vendors and internal New Balance teams to plan and manage project activities, provide governance and oversight, provide status and other inputs to Business, IT, and Leadership Providing mentoring and coaching to other project managers
REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS
B.S. with 5+ years' project management experience in a relevant technical field Understanding of/hands-on experience with software development life cycle Experience managing multiple concurrent projects or complex workstreams Skilled in Agile, Scrum, or hybrid project management methodologies Experience with project management tools such as Smartsheets, Ability to work within an Agile lifecycle tool such as ADO (Microsoft DevOps) or JIRA Demonstrated influence without authority, self-motivated with the ability to work independently and willing to take a hands-on approach and help the team to drive success Boston, MA 80

$100,200.00 - $129,300.00 - $158,400.00 Annual (actual base pay varying based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, internal equity, geographic location, and more.)
