The company designs, manufactures, and markets advanced welding equipment and automated welding systems used across industries including aerospace, nuclear, pharmaceutical, chemical, offshore, food processing, and microelectronics. Due to continued growth and expansion, they are seeking a hands-on professional to support customer installations, technical service, welding applications, and project execution throughout North America. Position Summary We are seeking a technically skilled and customer-focused professional with strong
GTAW/TIG
welding experience to join the after-sales and service team.
This role combines:
Field Service Technician responsibilities Customer technical support Welding application expertise Light project management for automated welding integrations The ideal candidate will have experience with
TIG/GTAW
welding processes, industrial equipment maintenance, and customer-facing technical service work. Travel is approximately 1 week per month, typically Monday-Friday, with minimal weekend travel. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance and repair of automated welding equipment Install and commission welding systems at customer sites Provide technical troubleshooting remotely, onsite, and in-house Conduct welding demonstrations, testing, and customer training Support project management activities related to equipment integration Assist customers with spare parts identification and service recommendations Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to support customer needs Participate in trade shows, demonstrations, and technical events Support installations throughout the US, Canada, and Mexico Required Qualifications Technical training or degree in a related field Strong hands-on experience with
TIG/GTAW
welding processes Minimum 3 years of experience maintaining or servicing industrial equipment Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Comfortable with travel and customer site work Strong troubleshooting and organizational skills Professional English communication skills required Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook) Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree or related technical discipline Experience with automated welding systems or industrial automation Knowledge of PLC systems (Siemens S7 preferred) Experience with: Servo/brushless motor technology Variable speed drives Automated manufacturing equipment Project management experience within industrial environments Additional Requirements Must be located within 45 minutes of Canton, MA Must be eligible to travel within North America Understanding of workplace safety procedures and PPE requirements Team-oriented mindset with strong initiative and adaptability Benefits PEAK's benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Dependent Care Savings Account (DCA), and 401K plan.
