ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Manage Medicaid Estate Recovery (MERP) project operations, workflows, timelines, and deliverables Oversee probate, estate recovery, claims, and case management processes Supervise customer service representatives, caseworkers, and operational staff Monitor staff productivity, quality, training, and performance expectations Coordinate with state agencies, attorneys, courts, vendors, and internal teams Monitor reporting, compliance requirements, and issue resolution Assist with system implementations, file layouts, data mapping, and workflow documentation Lead project meetings, staff coordination, training, and operational improvements Support technical teams with testing, requirements gathering, and process enhancements Review estate claims, probate filings, notices, and recovery opportunities
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
- 1+ years of project management, operations management, or program leadership experience
- Experience managing teams in healthcare, Medicaid, legal, insurance, recovery, claims, probate, or government programs
- Strong understanding of project coordination, workflows, deadlines, and operational reporting
- Experience working with confidential/sensitive information in a HIPAA-compliant environment
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working directly with clients, vendors, or state agencies
- Experience supervising or leading customer service representatives, caseworkers, paralegals, or operational staff
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Medicaid Estate Recovery Program (MERP) experience
- Texas probate, estate administration, or Medicaid recovery knowledge
- Experience with casualty recovery, third-party liability (TPL), liens, or subrogation
- Familiarity with probate court records and estate research
- Experience with state government contracts or public sector projects
- Knowledge of Medicaid eligibility, claims, or recovery processes
- Experience leading system implementations, data conversions, or transition projects
- Experience working with file layouts, data dictionaries, SFTP processes, or system integrations
- Familiarity with Jira or other project tracking systems
- Paralegal, legal operations, or claims management background
