Miscellaneous Metal & Ornamental Iron Avid Ironworks is a premier Miscellaneous Metal & Ornamental Iron company located conveniently in Springfield, MA with easy on/off access to the Mass Pike and Interstate 91. Our expertise includes fabrication and installation of various commercial projects such as Schools, Libraries, Public Works Facilities, and Fire & Police Departments. Job Description Oversee All Contracted Projects Field Measuring Attend Job Site Meetings Analyze Drawings and Specifications Understand Contract Terms and Conditions Monitor all Phases of a Project and Promptly Address Any Changes to the Original Scope of Services and the Impact to the Project Schedule & Budget Continually Assess Project Needs and Resources Available to Complete the Project Successfully Provide Accurate Project Documentation Perform Related Work as Required to Ensure Projects are Complete as Proposed to Management and Clients May Perform Other Duties as Assigned Effectively Manage Multiple Projects from Inception Through Completion The Position Project Manager will manage the day-to-day field operations/projects from submittal process thru job completion, including visiting the site, collecting data and measurements, preparing work orders, the assignment of personnel, materials and equipment and the supervision of the projects to ensure timely completion and quality work at the lowest possible costs to the customer and a profit margin as defined by management. This position requires daily communication with internal management, clients and crews to ensure competitive advantage in bidding through successful project completion. This position also requires a through understanding of the OSHA regulations and guidelines and the ability to communicate safety requirements on the jobsite. Qualifications and Experience 2 Years of Experience as a Project Manager (required) Ability to use Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook and Revu Blue Beam Demonstrated Knowledge of Miscellaneous & Ornamental Ironworks (i.e., the Ability to Read Drawings and Understand the Fabrication and Installation Process)
