Job Description

We're looking for a Senior Project Manager who knows how to run complex building automation and integration projects from kickoff to closeout - someone who's equally comfortable in a client meeting and walking a job site. This role supports a mix of new construction, renovations, and upgrades across the Baltimore/Ft. Meade area, and you'll own everything: schedule, budget, subs, and client relationships.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Lead full project lifecycles — contract review, procurement, scheduling, and turnover — for
BAS, HVAC
controls, fire alarm, and access control projects.
Own project financials:
cost forecasting, AIA/SOV billing, change order management, and monthly P&L reporting. Manage subcontractors and internal teams, keeping scope, schedule, and quality aligned from mobilization through commissioning. Serve as the primary client contact — setting expectations, resolving issues, and delivering regular status updates. Identify, document, and negotiate change orders; maintain clean RFI, submittal, and as-built records throughout. Drive a culture of safety and accountability across every project. Mentor junior PMs and contribute to a high-performance team environment.
WHAT YOU BRING 8-10
years of project management experience in building automation, HVAC controls, BMS, fire alarm, or access control systems. Proven ability to manage complex, multi-trade projects with overlapping scopes and tight schedules. Hands-on fluency with AIA billing, Schedule of Values, cost tracking, and revenue recognition. Strong communicator — you can explain technical scope to a GC and deliver a status report to an executive in the same afternoon. Proficient in Microsoft Project, SharePoint, and the Office suite. Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field — or equivalent field experience.

BRUUSA Pay:
$120,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
