This role will support projects within the healthcare sector and offers the opportunity to lead complex initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional teams, vendors, contractors, and client stakeholders.
Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee healthcare-related furniture, renovation, and interior build-out projects from planning through final installation. This individual will serve as a key point of contact throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring successful execution, maintaining project schedules, and delivering a high level of client satisfaction. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership skills, experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, and a background in construction, design, commercial furniture, or related industries. This position also provides mentorship and guidance to junior project management staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead projects from initial planning and kickoff through installation, completion, and final project closeout. Coordinate activities among internal teams, contractors, installers, vendors, and client representatives. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, milestones, and deliverables. Conduct site visits, field assessments, measurements, and installation oversight as needed. Monitor project performance and proactively address risks, delays, or scope changes. Manage project documentation, reporting, and stakeholder communications. Track and administer change orders while ensuring alignment with project requirements. Review project contracts and service agreements to ensure compliance with obligations and deliverables. Prepare project plans, schedules, and supporting documentation for project execution. Provide regular updates to leadership and clients regarding project status and progress. Mentor and support junior project management team members. Foster strong client relationships through responsive communication and problem resolution. Identify opportunities to improve project processes and team performance.
Qualifications:
5+ years of project management experience within construction, commercial furniture, interiors, design, or related industries. Experience overseeing multiple concurrent projects with varying levels of complexity. Background in healthcare environments is strongly preferred. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project. Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work effectively with diverse teams, clients, contractors, and leadership groups. Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience mentoring team members. Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, customer-focused mindset. Bachelor's degree preferred.
