Job Description

Job Overview Small Mechanical Contractor is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager / Estimator to join our team. Candidates must have strong knowledge of HVAC and Plumbing , along with proven experience in mechanical/plumbing estimating and project scheduling . This role is responsible for accurate cost estimation, effective scheduling, and seamless project management from start to finish. The ideal candidate brings a proactive mindset, exceptional organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering high‑quality results in a fast‑paced environment. Your expertise will support project success while fostering strong client relationships and effective team collaboration. Duties Prepare comprehensive bid proposals that include labor, materials, equipment costs, and profit margins Oversee project scope development, change order management, and contract administration to ensure alignment with client expectations and budget constraints Conduct site visits to gain firsthand understanding of mechanical conditions and verify estimates against actual site requirements Manage project timelines effectively through diligent time management practices and proactive scheduling adjustments Monitor project progress on-site to ensure adherence to safety standards, quality specifications, and contractual obligations Facilitate communication between clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution from start to finish Experience Minimum of several years of experience in estimating combined with project management, HVAC and plumbing Proven ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately Experience managing contracts, change orders, and subcontractor relationships effectively On-site experience is highly preferred to understand field challenges and site logistics Excellent time management skills coupled with the ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously Strong communication skills for effective project coordination across diverse teams Join us if you're ready to take on challenging projects where your estimation expertise combined with your project management skills will make a tangible impact.
