Job Description

TEMPORARY POSITION SUMMER ONLY
(Approximately 14 weeks) Must have a Driver's License, a Vehicle, and Proof of Vehicle Insurance! (Not Eligible for Benefits)
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
Supervises and works with employment specialists and individuals/youth with disabilities in a summer youth employment program. Conducts activities, provides instruction in employment and pre-employment skills, and ensures program operations run effectively.
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS
A Project Manager oversees program staff and participants, coordinates job placements, and conducts site visits. Work involves managing program operations, monitoring participant progress, and ensuring communication between staff, families, and community partners. The incumbent provides supervision, training, and program oversight under the direction of the Project Director.
EXAMPLES OF WORK
(Illustrative Only) Manage program staff and oversee daily activities. Collect, maintain, and analyze detailed program data; prepare reports; update and manage program databases to track outcomes and participant progress. Review and write reports as assigned. Maintain attendance and participant records. Communicate with students, Program Director, family members, co-workers, and supervisors. Coordinate with site supervisors and Metro Access. Provide transportation to participants as needed (using personal vehicle). Organize meetings and events. Provide job training and supervision to program participants. Conduct supervisory site visits at various job locations. Support program operations and perform additional assigned duties.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Some knowledge of disabilities Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to observe and interpret individual behaviors Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple tasks Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a reliable personal vehicle with current insurance. Must be willing to travel to multiple work sites Professional appearance and attire required
ACCEPTABLE EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
Some experience working with individuals with disabilities in a community-based, healthcare, or educational setting; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Training will be provided to the selected candidate.
