Job Description

Intermediate Project Manager Support the Facilities Management Division for the Office of Administration to manage all USCIS real property along with acquiring and disposing of space, renovating existing space, and resolving lease and building issues. The Facilities Management Division also manages the USCIS rent and facilities investment budget, develop policy and guidance related to real property and oversee environmental compliance.

ResponsibilitiesManages the day-to-day activities for a moderately complex Technical or non-Technical project. Manages the administrative/operational leadership of a project within the program guidelines set by the Program Manager and customer. Monitors project to ensure work scope, schedule, and budget are well defined and maintained. Provides the coordination between resource managers/supervisors and ensures all necessary reviews and approvals are received. Support the Senior Project Manager on FAC support services for USCIS -related projects and initiatives, project management phases such as project scheduling, planning, execution and result monitoring. Prepare project documents and status reports, projection development process for project budgetary, Project Change Control support to ensure specific product or service changes are introduced in a controlled and coordinated manner. May conduct performance/project analyses to benefit future/other projects/missions/programs. Administers departmental policies and procedures, evaluates results and performance, and assists with the development of strategic plans, or policies. Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of project management.
  • Experienced in overall project management and leveraging different data systems for submission of requirements and reporting of project data.
  • Proficient in the development of schedules and milestones for tracking and forecasting project statuses.
  • Expertise in electronic security systems and the ability to review security system scopes of work, drawings, and clearly convey requirements to other government entities, private building lessors, and/or contractors.
  • Develop ad hoc project management reports to include, but are not limited to, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft PowerPoint software.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the fields concepts and principles.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to successfully complete a criminal and credit history background check.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government suitability determination.
