The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including the disabled and veterans. #LI-LH1 Project responsibility: Supporting senior level scheduler in the development of high-level pursuit / precon schedules and detailed construction schedules with the project team.
Includes:
Data entry (or import) of activities / sequences / durations Assignment of activity and WBS coding Preparing a variety of outputs from Primavera (Gantt Chart, Resource, Tabular exports to Spreadsheets), Excel or Google spreadsheets / graphics Collecting scheduling metrics and creating spreadsheets / data bases to interpret and visualize the data Preparation of periodic schedule updates / data entry (or import) of progress information from the project team Mining data from as-built schedule for historical metrics If dedicated to a single project site Attending project meetings - WT, Owner, Subcontractor Walking the project site to assess the completion of schedule activities Collecting information from lean scheduling meetings and using the information to update the CPM Travel is a requirement and includes, either day trips to projects within a region 12-24 month assignments to a single project throughout the country Required Skills Actively working with Primavera P6. Competency working with various technologies and software including Google or Microsoft products (video conferencing, spreadsheets, slide decks) Understands CPM scheduling and total / free float calculations Worked with project superintendents and managers to develop initial project schedules Participates in the scheduling updating process. Data entering progress received from both the field and office. Basic understanding of schedule fragnets, how they are developed, inserted and basic schedule analysis Introduced to lean scheduling processes (pull / planning boards or software) Required Experience 0-2 years experience working as a scheduler
