Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly strategic and driven Chief Construction Project Manager to oversee all phases of large-scale commercial and civil construction projects from inception to closeout. You will direct executive-level operational objectives, lead multidisciplinary teams, and negotiate high-level contracts to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership:
Establish operational objectives, develop company policies, and manage the performance of subordinate project managers, superintendents, and engineering teams.
Budgeting & Financials:
Compile and review cost estimates, oversee project budgets, manage change orders, and monitor overall project expenses.
Contract & Vendor Management:
Solicit, negotiate, and execute contracts with general contractors, subcontractors, and external vendors prior to commencement.
Risk Management:
Conduct site checks, ensure strict compliance with building codes and OSHA safety standards, and develop strategies to mitigate potential project delays.
Stakeholder Relations:
Initiate and maintain strong liaison relationships with owners, clients, and municipal departments to facilitate smooth project activities.
Qualifications & Skills Education:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a closely related field.
Experience:
10+ years of progressively responsible experience in a relevant construction leadership capacity.
Certifications:
PMP (Project Management Professional) or CCM (Certified Construction Manager) preferred. OSHA 10/30-Hour Construction certification is highly desirable.
Technical Skills:
Advanced proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Primavera, Procore, or MS Project), AutoCAD, and the MS Office Suite.

Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills, with a proven track record of managing multi-million dollar projects.
