This role ensures projects related to water, fire, mold, or storm damage are executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company standards and industry regulations. Key Responsibilities Manage mitigation projects including water damage, fire/smoke damage, mold remediation, and storm recovery Conduct on-site inspections to assess damage and develop project scopes and estimates Coordinate crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely project completion Monitor project progress, budgets, and timelines Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards (e.g., IICRC guidelines) Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle Prepare and maintain documentation, including job reports, photos, and estimates Handle customer concerns and ensure high levels of client satisfaction Oversee equipment usage, inventory, and maintenance Ensure proper drying techniques, containment, and environmental controls are followed Qualifications Experience in restoration, construction, or mitigation project management Knowledge of water, fire, and mold remediation processes Familiarity with insurance claims and estimating software (e.g., Xactimate) Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent communication and customer service abilities Ability to work in fast-paced and emergency response environments Valid driver's license Preferred Certifications IICRC certifications (e.g., WRT - Water Restoration Technician, ASD - Applied Structural Drying) OSHA safety certifications PMP (Project Management Professional) certification (optional but beneficial) Skills & Competencies Project planning and organization Problem-solving and decision-making Time management and multitasking Attention to detail Budget management Work Environment Combination of office and field work May require on-call availability for emergency response Exposure to hazardous environments (water damage, mold, fire residue) Physical activity including lifting, climbing, and extended periods on-site
